LONDON, Oct. 3 (Xinhua) -- British stocks decreased on Thursday, with the benchmark FTSE 100 Index down by 0.63 percent, or 44.90 points, to close at 7,077.64 points.
DS Smith, a Britain-based international packaging business, lost 5.71 percent. EVRAZ, a multinational vertically integrated steel making and mining company, dropped 3.78 percent. British American Tobacco, a tobacco group, fell 3.73 percent.
London stock exchange group, a stock exchange and financial information company, soared 2.28 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. Ferguson and Diageo increased by 2.05 percent and 1.88 percent, respectively. Enditem
