BANGKOK, Oct. 8 (Xinhua) -- Thai Prime Minister and Defense Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha said after a cabinet meeting Tuesday that all cabinet ministers have approved the 3.2-trillion-baht (105.2 billion U.S. dollars) draft budget for fiscal 2020.

Prayut said the documents detailing the budget have been forwarded to Members of Parliament Tuesday.

Regarding the allocation of the budget to each ministry, Prayut said no decisions have been made yet as the budget bills will need to be proposed and deliberated to the House of Representatives for consideration.

The prime minister also said that the ad hoc committee in charge of scrutinizing the budget bill will decide whether the amount of money in the budget can be raised or lowered.

Prayut said the budget bill will be tabled before the House of Representatives for its first reading on Oct. 17 which could take up to two or three days. The second and third readings are likely to take place in January next year.
