RABAT, Oct. 9 (Xinhua) -- Morocco's economy grew 2.4 percent in the third quarter of 2019, down from 2.5 percent in the previous quarter, the official High Commission for Planning (HCP) said on Wednesday.
The performance is due to the decline of the growth of non-agricultural activities, which fell from 3.3 percent a year ago to 3.1 percent, the HCP added in its periodical report.
Tertiary activities grew by 2.8 percent against 2.9 percent in the second quarter, it said.
In July, the agency lowered the North African country's economic growth forecasts for 2019 to 2.7 percent from 2.9 percent.
