Mongolia, Kazakhstan agree to strengthen ties

ULAN BATOR, Oct. 11 (Xinhua) -- Mongolian Prime Minister Ukhnaa Khurelsukh and his Kazakh counterpart Askar Mamin have agreed to bolster bilateral ties across a number of areas, the Mongolian government's press office said Friday.

Khurelsukh arrived in the Kazakh capital of Nursultan on Thursday for a three-day visit at the invitation of Mamin.

During their talks on Thursday, the two prime ministers agreed on further comprehensive cooperation.

The Kazakh side expressed its willingness to invest in food, agriculture and small-and-medium sized enterprises in Mongolia, the press office said.

The two countries on Thursday also signed multiple cooperation documents in education, agriculture and mutual legal assistance on civil and criminal matters.

Khurelsukh is the first Mongolian prime minister to visit Kazakhstan in 25 years.
