Xi's special envoy to attend Indonesian presidential inauguration and Japanese emperor's enthronement

BEIJING, Oct. 14 (Xinhua) -- Chinese President Xi Jinping's special envoy Wang Qishan will attend the inauguration ceremony of Indonesian President Joko Widodo and the enthronement ceremony of Japanese Emperor Naruhito later this month.

Foreign Ministry spokesperson Geng Shuang told a press briefing on Monday that the presidential inauguration ceremony will be held in Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia, on Oct. 20, and the enthronement ceremony will be held in Tokyo, the capital of Japan, on Oct. 22.

Wang, also the vice president of China, will pay friendly visits to the two countries at the invitation of the Indonesian government and the Japanese government, Geng said.
