German shares gain 1.15 pct Tuesday

FRANKFURT, Oct. 15 (Xinhua) -- German stocks rose on Tuesday, with the benchmark DAX index up 143.23 points, or 1.15 percent, to close at 12,629.79 points.

Deutsche Bank won the most among the blue chips, with its shares up 2.88 percent. Automotive manufacturer BMW and European health care company Fresenius SE gained by 2.65 percent and 2.56 percent respectively.

Global internet technology and financial services provider Wirecard, aircraft engine manufacturer MTU Aero and chemical and consumer goods company Henkel were the only three losers among the blue chips, by falling 12.82 percent, 2.58 percent and 0.77 percent respectively.

Multinational software corporation SAP was the most-traded share with a turnover of 317.9 million euros (349.9 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
