6.7-magnitude quake hits Philippines

HONG KONG, Oct. 16 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.7 jolted 5 km west of Magsaysay, the Philippines on Wednesday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 10 km, was initially determined to be at 6.776 degrees north latitude and 125.134 degrees east longitude.
