FRANKFURT, Oct. 17 (Xinhua) -- German stocks edged down on Thursday, with the benchmark DAX index down 15.16 points, or 0.12 percent, to close at 12,654.95 points.
Global internet technology and financial services provider Wirecard lost 2.73 percent, the top loser among the blue chips, followed by manufacturing and electronics company Siemens and material manufacturer Covestro, which lost 1.79 percent and 1.37 percent respectively.
German airlines Lufthansa gained 1.47 percent, becoming the top gainer. Automotive manufacturer BMW and housing association Vonovia advanced 1.16 percent and 1.01 percent respectively.
Wirecard was the most traded share with a turnover of 428.0 million euros (475.6 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
