New air route links Chinese tourist city with ROK

CHANGSHA, Oct. 19 (Xinhua) -- A direct flight has been launched connecting the tourist city of Zhangjiajie in central China's Hunan Province and Muan of the Republic of Korea (ROK).

The air route is operated by Jeju Air of the ROK, with a Boeing 737-800 aircraft. Two round trips are scheduled every week on Thursdays and Sundays, according to the Zhangjiajie Hehua International Airport.

The Muan to Zhangjiajie flight 7C8215 departs at 9:10 a.m. and arrives at 12:25 p.m. Beijing time in Zhangjiajie. The return flight 7C8216 departs at 1:25 p.m. from Zhangjiajie and arrives at 4:10 p.m. Beijing time in Muan.

Zhangjiajie is a well-known Chinese tourist destination. The Wulingyuan scenic area in the city is on the World Natural Heritage List of UNESCO.

Zhangjiajie airport has connecting flights with several east and southeast Asian countries. Now, there are 13 flights flying between Zhangjiajie and ROK each week.
