THE HAGUE, Oct. 19 (Xinhua) -- PSV lost for the first time this Eredivisie season, going down 3-0 at FC Utrecht on Saturday.

Sander van de Streek handed Utrecht the lead four minutes after half-time with a deflected shot. The visitors had difficulties to come back into the match and soon the mission became too hard.

PSV were reduced to nine men when the VAR intervened and Nick Viergever and Jorrit Hendrix received red cards for tackles on Bart Ramselaar and Simon Gustafson respectively. Ex-PSV player Adam Maher decided the match with the second Utrecht goal and Sean Klaiber made it 3-0 in injury time.

It was only the first defeat of the Eredivisie season for PSV. Ajax beat bottom-side RKC 2-1 in Waalwijk on Saturday and now are the only undefeated team left of the season.

After a lackluster first half, Dusan Tadic opened the scoring for Ajax. Said Bakari equalized, but Quincy Promes earned Ajax the narrow win by smashing home. It was the decisive goal, although afterwards RKC forward Darren Maatsen hit the cross bar.

Also on Saturday AZ suffered their second defeat of the season against sc Heerenveen (2-4), Willem II won 1-0 at FC Twente and Vitesse beat VVV 4-0 in Venlo.

Ajax now lead the Eredivisie table with 26 points from 10 matches, followed by PSV and Vitesse with 23 points, AZ with 20 points and Utrecht are fifth with 17 points.
