CAIRO, Oct. 21 (Xinhua) -- Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi praised on Monday the strong and distinguished Egyptian-Kuwaiti relations and asserted Egypt's keenness on enhancing cooperation in all fields, official news agency MENA reported.

During a meeting with Kuwaiti Prime Minister Sheikh Jabir Al Mubarak Al Hamad Al Sabah, the Egyptian president highlighted the importance of cooperation in the fields of trade and economy and attracting more Kuwaiti investments, said the Presidency Spokesman Bassam Radi.

Sheikh Jabir voiced the Kuwaiti emir's desire to promote bilateral relations, Radi added.

The prime minister hailed Egypt's pivotal role as a main pillar for security and stability in the Arab world, the report added.

The meeting tackled bilateral relations and the latest regional developments, the spokesman said, adding that Sisi asserted that the security of the Gulf is linked to Egypt's national security.

Sisi also praised the key role played by Kuwait in confronting challenges facing the Arab world, Radi added.
