LUANDA, Oct. 24 (Xinhua) -- Angolan Basketball Federation (FAB) on Thursday said it has no date to disclose the list of senior women's basketball team for the African Olympic qualifiers due to financial hardships.

Benjamin Romano, vice-president of the national team, said on Thursday that things are very tough and FAB does not know how to deal with the problem.

Unfortunately FAB has not received any support, so there is no practical conditions to summon the players, taking into consideration that the federation cannot afford the expenses of the team, Romano said.

Angola, who finished fifth in the Women's Afrobasket 2019, is among the top six African teams for the African Olympic qualifying tournament slated for November 10 to 18.

FAB is also facing a stalemate over five million of kwanzas (11,000 U.S. dollars) payment debt to referees, which has prevented the kick off of the senior men's basketball championship slated for October 18.
