JERUSALEM, Oct. 25 (Xinhua) -- Israeli champions Maccabi Tel Aviv beat Spanish side Valencia Basket 76-63 in the fourth round of the basketball Euroleague on Thursday evening.

The Israeli hosts achieved their second victory so far, while Valencia remained the only team out of the 18 participants with no win yet.

11,000 fans at the Menorah Mivtachim Arena in the coastal city of Tel Aviv saw the home team dominate the first quarter with an aggressive defense en route to an 18-11 lead.

A weak offensive game by Maccabi in the second quarter, alongside a contribution from Valencia's center, Bojan Dubljevic, gave hope to the Spaniards, who trailed 28-33 at halftime.

Former NBA player Omri Casspi led Maccabi to a 16-point lead (51-35), and 56-44 at the end of the third quarter. In the final quarter, Maccabi ran to a 68-49 lead to secure the victory.

Maccabi's shooting guard Scottie Wilbekin scored a team-high 14 points. His teammate Othello Hunter added 13 points and 8 rebounds, while Casspi logged 12 points and 5 rebounds.

Valencia's point guard Jordan Loyd led Valencia scorers with 17 points. His teammates Fernando San Emeterio and Dubljevic added 15 points each.

Maccabi will play their next game in Israel against Turkey's Fenerbahce, while Valencia will play at Barcelona - with both games to be played on October 30th.
