BEIJING, Oct. 30 (Xinhua) -- Entrepreneurs from the mainland and Taiwan have responded positively to an upcoming cross-Strait summit in Nanjing, capital of east China's Jiangsu Province, a mainland spokesperson said Wednesday.

More than 40 centrally administered state-owned enterprises and some renowned private enterprises on the mainland have confirmed their attendance to the 2019 Zijinshan Summit for Entrepreneurs across the Taiwan Strait slated for Nov. 3-5, said Ma Xiaoguang, spokesperson for the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council, at a press conference.

Heads of major business organizations and business heavyweights from Taiwan have also registered for the summit, he said.

According to Ma, participants at the summit are expected to seal more deals and projects of cross-Strait industrial exchange and cooperation than previous editions.

An exhibition on industrial parks for cross-Strait economic cooperation and those under the Belt and Road Initiative will be held during the summit, said the spokesperson.
