Dongfeng Motor to recall 3,773 vehicles

BEIJING, Nov. 3 (Xinhua) -- China's carmaker Dongfeng Motor Corp. will recall 3,773 vehicles due to defective windscreen wipers, according to the country's market regulator.

Starting Nov. 8, the recall will involve Dongfeng Aeolus models manufactured between May 25, 2015 and Jan. 16, 2018, according to a statement on the website of the State Administration for Market Regulation.

Defective windscreen wipers on the two sides might interfere each other in extreme cases and cause safety hazards, the statement said.

The company promised to fix the defective parts of the affected vehicles free of charge, said the statement.
