6.0-magnitude quake hits 28 km SW of Illapel, Chile: USGS

NEW YORK, Nov. 4 (Xinhua) -- A 6.0-magnitude earthquake jolted 28 km SW of Illapel, Chile, at 21:53 GMT on Monday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 49.06 km, was initially determined to be at 31.8222 degrees south latitude and 71.3664 degrees west longitude.
