BEIJING, Nov. 8 (Xinhua) -- The Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE) has opened a column for company snapshots on the SSE STAR Market's English website, in a bid to help international investors to understand the companies on the market and further propel foreign funds to involve in the market.
The column is made up of four parts: company overview, brief introduction, financials and top 10 shareholders.
The main content and data come from the periodical reports disclosed by the listed companies on the SSE STAR Market.
The investors can log onto the SSE STAR Market's English website (http://star.sse.com.cn/en/), click the snapshot column and check the basic information about the companies according to their stock codes.
The above website also releases the latest news, special mechanisms, rules and regulations, information disclosure matters and market data for the investors.
The STAR Market began trading on July 22. As of Friday, it has 50 listed companies and 175 companies in the registration progress.
The board, designed to focus on companies in the high-tech and strategic emerging sectors, will ease the listing criteria, such as allowing firms that have yet to make a profit to list, but they will adopt higher requirements for information disclosure.
