HARBIN, Nov. 9 (Xinhua) -- A total of 10 gold medals have been decided as the third stop of the 2019/20 China Cup Short Track Speed Skating Elite League continued Saturday in Qitaihe, northeast China's Heilongjiang province.

Xu Aili, representing team Hubei, shone in Saturday's competitions. She topped women's 1,500 meters with 2:41.050 and crowned women's 500 meters with 44.983 as well. As a member of a mixed relay team, Xu also won a bronze in the mixed 2,000 meters relay.

After a close battle for the championship of men's 1,500 meters, team Jilin's Chen Guang claimed the gold with 2:22.557, but later he failed to qualify for the final of 500 meters as he was fouled out in the semifinal.

The promising teenage skater Zhang Tianyi, who won a silver in his international debut at the 2019 Shanghai Trophy last month, continued his outstanding performance in the junior group of this tournament. He won the first place in men's 1,500 meters and secured a silver in men's 500 meters.

Sunday will be the last match day of the tournament.
