NANJING, Nov. 10 (Xinhua) -- Despite Courtney Fortson's tremendous performance for Sichuan Blue Whale, hosts Jiangsu Dragons nailed a 117-101 victory with aggressive attack in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) here on Sunday.
Miroslav Radulica of Jiangsu notched up 41 points and 13 rebounds, and his teammate Wu Guanxi scored 19. Fortson posted a game-high 44 points plus 11 assists but could not save his team.
Radulica dismantled Sichuan's defense by consecutively scoring in the first quarter, and helped Jiangsu put their opponents on the ropes with an 18-point lead to enter the second half.
Fortson showcased his offensive power with tough layups and three-pointers, shooting an efficient 12 for 19, but he could hardly reverse the game as the other side continued to pour on the pressure.
