PARIS, Nov. 10 (Xinhua) -- China's FunPlus Phoenix (FPX) won the League of Legends final against European side G2 Esports on Sunday at the AccorHotels Arena in Paris-Bercy.

FPX won 3-0 against G2 Esports, the second consecutive victory of a Chinese team after Invictus Gaming's European face against Fnatic in the League of Legends final in 2018.

The two best teams of the season, G2 Esports and FPX, met this Sunday in Paris in the final of the world championships of one of the biggest championships of esport.

"The first game started as expected, and FunPlus Phoenix, very aggressively, tried to destabilize G2 quickly, but the Europeans were there to regain control in the middle of the game, but a succession of errors, of bad movements orchestrated, too ambitious attacks, gave the game back to the Chinese, usually imperial to punish the bad choices of opponents, G2 suffered the fate he has inflicted on others throughout the season," commented the French public channel Franceinfo, adding that "G2 has seen his Grand Slam dream come home."

The G2 team congratulated FunPlus Phoenix after their victory: "Fly, Phoenix, fly, congratulations on your victory," they said on Twitter. This is the first time France hosted the World League of Legends and the next edition will be held in Shanghai.
