FRANKFURT, Nov. 13 (Xinhua) -- German stocks edged down on Wednesday, with the benchmark DAX index down 53.44 points, or 0.40 percent, to close at 13,230.07 points.
Deutsche Bank lost 4.44 percent, the top loser among the blue chips, followed by material manufacturer Covestro and multinational building materials company HeidelbergCement, which lost 2.52 percent and 2.23 percent respectively.
Energy group E.ON gained 1.29 percent, the top gainer. Multinational chemical firm Linde and housing association Vonovia advanced 1.21 percent and 0.82 percent respectively.
Multinational software corporation SAP was the most traded share, with a turnover of 228.9 million euros (251.9 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
