MAPUTO, Nov. 13 (Xinhua) -- Mozambican President Filipe Nyusi said on Wednesday that entrepreneurs of the southern African nation should come together in associations as a simple but effective strategy that enables more business opportunities and growth.
Nyusi made the remarks in Maputo at the opening of the 6th Mozambique Gas Summit, an annual event that brings together companies in the sector, at a time when the production and export of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) is three years away.
"No one will be victorious in isolation in this complex and highly competitive market. We need synergies. Therefore, it is necessary to gather wills and efforts, channeling them towards the realization of the collective goals that benefit all and its members," he said.
According to the president, one of the biggest challenges facing the nation is to create favorable conditions for attracting investments that can bring business opportunities and employment for improving the living conditions of the people.
"We have to further improve our competitiveness to earn investors' confidence, so the country is challenged to adopt public policies that make the business environment more attractive in order to capture investment for jobs and income," he said.
