BEIJING, Nov. 14 (Xinhua) -- The world-famous Chinese pianist Li Yundi will put on a piano recital at the National Center for the Performing Arts (NCPA) in Beijing on Dec. 1.
Li will perform four pieces of classical music, namely Schubert's "Piano Sonata in A Major," Chopin's "Piano Sonata No.3 in B Minor," as well as Rachmaninov's "Etudes-Tableaus" and "Piano Sonata No.2 in B-Flat Minor."
In 2000, 18-year-old Li had become the youngest gold medal winner of the International Frederic Chopin Piano Competition. During the previous years, Li continued to gain professional reputation via tours in a great number of places in Europe, Asia and North America.
Tickets for the show are now available on the official website of the NCPA, ranging from 280 yuan (about 40 U.S. dollars) to 1,580 yuan.
