Kenya to host China-Kenya Industrial Capacity Cooperation Expo next week

NAIROBI, Nov.20 (Xinhua) -- Kenya will host the third edition of China-Kenya Industrial Capacity Cooperation Exposition from Nov. 26 to 29, organizers said on Wednesday.

Lydia Sun, project team manager of China International Exhibition Center (CIEC) said in Nairobi that 83 Chinese enterprises will showcase the latest innovations in the industrial sector.

"The expo is set to provide a unique platform for both governmental and private sectors from the two countries to cooperate on infrastructure, energy, machinery and equipment, agricultural processing machinery, information and communications technology (ICT), as well as transportation and logistics," Sun said.

The annual event is organized by CIEC Group and sponsored by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade in collaboration with the Kenya's Ministry of Industry, Trade and Cooperatives, Kenya Investment Authority, the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Kenya Private Sector Alliance.

The expo will also include China-Kenya Job Fair and business matchmaking on infrastructure, agriculture and agro-processing, transportation, automobile as well as machinery.

In 2018, the event in Kenya attracted 6,300 visitors from Kenya, Ethiopia, Uganda, Zambia, Mozambique and the other six countries who were looking for various business opportunities.
