LUANDA, Nov. 20 (Xinhua) -- The offers made by the international markets valued at 8.4 billion of U.S. dollars surpassed the fixed value of 3 billion U.S. dollars Eurobonds issued by the Angolan government, the country's Finance Ministry said on Wednesday.
The ministry adds that the Angolan government authorized the issuance of Eurobonds in international markets earlier this month.
The issuance was conducted on Tuesday in the London financial market, following a roadshow led by the Angolan Finance Minister, Vera Daves, in New York, Boston and London.
Angola raised the expected 3 billion U.S. dollars, having divided the transaction in two tranches, reducing interest rates by 25 percent for 10-year and 30-year maturities.
This follows the issuance of 3 billion U.S. dollars Angola issued in 2018 divided in two tranches.
Angola issued Eurobonds estimated at 1.5 billion U.S. dollars for the first time in 2015.
