Movie "Better Days" grosses over 1.5 bln yuan at mainland box office

BEIJING, Nov. 21 (Xinhua) -- "Better Days" has generated more than 1.5 billion yuan (about 213 million U.S. dollars) in total box office revenue on the Chinese mainland since its Oct. 25 premiere, showed figures from the China Movie Data Information Network Thursday.

Directed by Derek Tsang, who is best known for directing the 2016 film "Soul Mate," "Better Days" revolves around a brutally bullied high school girl who becomes entangled with a young crook and embroiled in a murder.

Starring Zhou Dongyu and Jackson Yee, the film currently has a score of 8.4 out of 10 on film review platform Douban based on more than 543,000 reviews.

"Better Days" secured an opening week box office revenue of 583 million yuan on the Chinese mainland. Enditem
