SAN FRANCISCO, Nov. 22 (Xinhua) -- Two more suspects have been arrested as part of an expanding investigation into a deadly shooting at a Halloween party at a rented house in Orinda, Northern California, police said Friday.
The two men, both 29, identified as Domico Dones of Martinez city and Frederick Johnson of Vallejo city in the Bay Area, were detained and booked on charges related to the Orinda shooting on Oct. 31, 2019, the Contra Costa County Sheriff's Office said.
Both of them are being held at the Martinez Detention Facility in Contra Costa County with a 300,000-U.S.-dollar bail and a 75,000-dollar bail respectively, after they were caught in multiple raids by law enforcement agencies on Thursday, the police added.
Local media reported that prosecutors charged the men with being felons in possession of firearms and ammunition.
Their arrests came three days after four of five other suspects who had been detained in connection with the shooting, which killed five people and injured nine others, were released without being charged by prosecutors who said they need more evidence to move forward.
The Contra Costa Police Department said the investigation into the shooting is ongoing. No clear motives for the shooting that occurred at the Orinda house rented out on the online rental platform Airbnb last month have been disclosed.
The party was attended by more than 100 people before the shooting took place shortly before Halloween.
