WINDHOEK, Nov. 28 (Xinhua) -- China became the top export destination for Namibia's domestic goods after absorbing 20.1 percent of all the goods exported by the country in the second quarter, according to the latest trade statistics from the Namibia Statistics Agency (NSA).

South Africa ranked second with a market share of 16.6 percent of Namibia's total exports, while Belgium and Botswana each absorbed 7.8 percent share of total domestic exports, NSA's second-quarter trade bulletin released Thursday said.

NSA said the analysis on commodities revealed that exports were mostly led by copper, precious stones and metals, ores, fish and vessels.

The agency said in terms of imports, Namibia mainly sourced from South Africa, which supplied the largest share of 47.3 percent of total imports, followed by Zambia and China with 16.47 and 4.8 percent respectively.
