LOS ANGELES, Nov. 30 (Xinhua) -- Global data science professionals will meet here in California next week for a two-day summit on artificial intelligence and big data.
The conference, scheduled for Dec. 6-7 in the Pasadena Convention Center, will be hosted by the Research Methods and Data Science (RMDS) Lab, a leading community-centered data science research organization headquartered in Pasadena, California.
Experts from prestigious U.S. universities and research institutions will deliver keynote speeches at the conference, including George Djorgovski, director of the Center for Data-Driven Discovery at the California Institute of Technology, Alex Liu, RMDS Lab CEO and former IBM chief data scientist, and Danny Brooke, program manager of product development at the Institute for Quantitative Social Science of Harvard University, RMDS said.
They will share in-depth insights into the artificial intelligence and big data fields and how their work directly benefits the community.
Since its establishment in 2009, RMDS has become one of the largest data science communities in California with over 33,000 data professionals and researchers.
