ANKARA, Dec. 1 (Xinhua) -- Turkey repatriated an Irish citizen, a suspect of the Islamic State (IS), to her home on Sunday, the Turkish interior ministry said in a written statement.
"An Irish foreign terrorist fighter has been deported from Turkey," said the ministry, noting that Ankara would continue repatriation of IS suspects.
On Nov. 11, Turkey commenced deporting IS-linked foreign nationals held in the country, saying it will send thousands of captured IS militants, mostly from Europe, back to their countries even if their citizenships were canceled.
