Former Iranian judoka Mollaei to fight for Mongolia at Qingdao Masters 2019

TEHRAN, Dec. 2 (Xinhua) -- Saeid Mollaei, a former Iranian judoka, will fight under the flag of Mongolia at the Qingdao Masters 2019, Tehran Times daily reported on Monday.

On Sunday, Mollaei visited Battulga Khaltmaa, the Mongolian politician and Sambo wrestler, who handed out the Mongolia passport to Mollaei.

Mollaei claimed the title of the Baku 2018 World Championships. He also won a bronze medal at the Budapest 2017 World Championships.

The upcoming judo competition will be held in Chinese city of Qingdao from December 12 to 14 with 476 judokas from 70 countries and regions.
