RIO DE JANEIRO, Dec. 9 (Xinhua) -- Flamengo and Brazil international forward Bruno Henrique has played down concerns over his fitness ahead of the FIFA Club World Cup, instead guaranteeing that he will be in peak condition for the tournament in Qatar.

Henrique was forced off at half-time during Flamengo's 4-0 defeat at Santos in the final round of the Brazilian Serie A season on Sunday after a recurrence of a hamstring injury.

"People became concerned when they saw me leaving the pitch with ice. I have to recover but it's not a worry. I'm going to be 100 percent in [Qatar]," Henrique told reporters on Monday.

"It's just wear and tear. [The substitution] was only a precaution. We'd already decided before the match that I'd only play for a half."

Flamengo will debut in the competition on December 17 with a semifinal against either Al-Hilal of Saudi Arabia or Tunisia's Esperance de Tunis.

The other semifinal will pit European champions Liverpool against either Monterrey of Mexico, Qatar's Al-Sadd or New Caledonian team Hienghene Sport.

The final will be played at Doha's Khalifa stadium on December 21.
