TIRANA, Dec. 11 (Xinhua) -- In the third quarter of 2019, the average gross monthly salary per employee in Albania increased by 3.7 percent year-on-year, the National Institute of Statistics (INSTAT) reported on Wednesday.
According to INSTAT official data, in the third quarter of 2019, the average gross monthly salary per employee in Albania is 51,870 Albanian leks (around 469 U.S. dollars).
In this period the average gross monthly salary per employee in financial and insurance activities is 93.8 percent higher than the national average, whereas for the group-activity of agriculture, forestry and fishing this indicator is 29.8 percent lower.
According to INSTAT, in terms of economic activities, in this period the group-activity of arts, entertainment and recreation, repair of household goods and other services registered the highest increase by 13.9 percent in the average gross monthly salary.
In terms of group-occupations, in the third quarter of 2019 the group-occupation of armed forces registered the highest increase in the average gross monthly salary by 7.9 percent (63,802 Albanian leks) year-on-year.
Meanwhile, in the third quarter of 2019 the group-occupation of managers registered the lowest increase by 0.7 percent (97,951 Albanian leks) compared to the same quarter of 2018. (1 U.S. dollar = 110.5 Albanian leks)
