Two Russian nationals and three Central Asians are suspected as members of the Islamic State.
MOSCOW, Dec. 13 (Xinhua) -- Russia's Federal Security Service (FSB) and the Ministry of Internal Affairs detained five people suspected of plotting sabotage and terrorist attacks, the FSB said in a statement on Friday.
Two Russian nationals and three Central Asians are suspected as members of the Islamic State (IS), according to the statement.
A search found various means of communication containing instructions from foreign IS curators, an assault rifle, a pistol, ammunition and an improvised explosive device.
A criminal investigation has been opened, said the statement. ■
