RIO DE JANEIRO, Dec. 13 (Xinhua) -- Corinthians have reached a deal to sign Gremio and Brazil international forward Luan Vieira, according to Brazilian press reports.

The seven-time Brazilian Serie A champions will secure 55% of Luan's economic rights by paying Gremio 22 million reais (around five million US dollars), according to Globo Esporte. The 26-year-old will be tied to Corinthians until the end of 2023.

Luan scored 77 goals in 299 matches across all competitions for Gremio, whom he joined from Catanduvense in 2014.

He helped the Porto Alegre club win the 2017 Copa Libertadores, for which he was named player of the tournament with eight goals in 12 appearances.

A member of the Brazil squad that won gold at the Rio 2016 Olympics, Luan has been capped twice for Brazil's senior national team.
