Chinese shares higher at midday Monday

BEIJING, Dec. 16 (Xinhua) -- China's major stock indices ended higher in the morning session Monday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index ending 0.06 percent higher at 2,969.52 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index gained 0.81 percent to end at 10,085.88 points at midday.
