Conference on forecast of Chinese economy 2020 to be held in NYC

NEW YORK, Dec. 28 (Xinhua) -- A group of leading Chinese and American economists will gather in New York City on Jan. 9 to provide a forecast for the Chinese economy in the coming year.

Presented by the National Committee on U.S.-China Relations (NCUSCR) and Peking University (PKU)'s China Center for Economic Research, the half-day event will provide an opportunity to hear directly from influential experts about the evolution of China's economy, changing bilateral investment prospects, and policy developments that will affect economic outlooks in both countries, according to the website of the NCUSCR.

It will also feature other important issues including the macroeconomic trends, in-depth analysis of key sectors, and expected challenges and opportunities in 2020 and beyond.

Speakers and panelists attending will include Huang Haizhou, managing director of China International Capital Corporation, Lu Feng, director of the China Macroeconomic Research Center at PKU, Xu Gao, chief economist of China Everbright Securities Co., Ltd, and Stephen A. Orlins, president of the NCUSCR.
