MAPUTO, Dec. 30 (Xinhua) -- Five people died and four others were seriously injured in a collision involving a truck and a private car on Monday morning in Mozambique's southern Inhambane province.
According to state radio RM, the driver of the light vehicle was drunk and the victims in the car did not carry any documents of identification, including those for the vehicle.
"It is not known where the victims were going or who they are, and the car itself had no documents, so we cannot identify who it belongs to," RM cited Juma Dauto, spokesman for the Republic of Mozambique Police, as saying.
The injured were sent to Inhambane Provincial Hospital, Dauto said.
