BEIJING, Jan. 7 (Xinhua) -- Ive Pogorelich, a piano virtuoso from Belgrade, Serbia, will bring a recital for audiences at the National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA) on Feb. 23.
Born in a family of musicians in 1958, Pogorelich started his journey of music and piano at the age of seven and went to Moscow at 12 to study at the Central Special Music School and later at the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory.
The pianist will perform a series of classical music such as Bach's "English Suite No. 3 in G Minor," Beethoven's "Piano Sonata No. 11 in B-flat Major," and Chopin's "Barcarolle in F-sharp Major."
