"Egypt is willing to learn from the Chinese experience and welcomes more investments from Chinese enterprises to build the China-Egypt Suez Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone," says Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly.

CAIRO, Jan. 9 (Xinhua) -- Egypt welcomes more investments and tourists from China as the two sides work to implement the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) and deepen practical cooperation in all fields, said Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly on Wednesday.

Madbouly made the remarks while meeting with Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi in the Egyptian capital Cairo.

"Egypt is willing to learn from the Chinese experience and welcomes more investments from Chinese enterprises to build the China-Egypt Suez Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone," he said.

Egypt has great potential in the field of tourism and welcomes more Chinese tourists to visit Egypt, the prime minister said, expressing his hope for the Chinese enterprises to join hands with Egypt to expand the European and African markets.

For his part, Wang said that under the leadership of both countries, the bilateral relations have realized leapfrog development.

"Both sides should implement the important consensus reached by both presidents and further deepen cooperation in all fields," Wang said.

China is willing to see greater synergy between the BRI and Egypt's Vision 2030, build international shipping and regional logistics centers, and help Egypt achieve development and prosperity, he said.

Based on the achievements of the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, both sides should positively explore ways to carry out trilateral cooperation in Africa, he said.

"I believe that Egypt will provide more convenience and support to the Chinese enterprises and create a fairer environment for competition," Wang said.
