Al-Shabab raids police station in northeast Kenya

MANDERA, Kenya, Jan. 11 (Xinhua) -- Somali militant group al-Shabab attacked a police station in northeast Kenya on Friday evening, witnesses and police said on Saturday.

The police said the attack happened at Olla in Mandera. A police station and a communication mast of mobile operator Safaricom were destroyed.

The number of casualties is still unknown.
