BEIJING, Jan. 14 (Xinhua) -- Guo Yifei's three pointer in the last second helped the Nanjing Monkey Kings edge the Zhejiang Golden Bulls 113-112, while the defending champion Guangdong Southeast Tigers defeated the Jilin Northeast Tigers 123-100 in a revenge game in the 27th round of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) on Tuesday.
In Hangzhou, the last four seconds witnessed moments of drama. Guo Yifei's key 3-pointer was blocked by Sylven Landesberg. The game seemed to be over but Guo caught the ball again from the air and made his winning buzzer-beater.
Joseph Young posted 41 points and six assists for Nanjing, and Qiao Wenhan hit five out of eight attempts for 17 points and grabbed five rebounds. Landesberg had 44 points and 12 rebounds for Zhejiang.
In Dongguan, Guangdong extended their winning streak to 10 games after taking revenge on Jilin, which is one of the only two teams to have beaten Guangdong this season.
Guangdong held a slender 91-85 advantage after the third quarter and improved their defensive strength in the final quarter to hold Jilin to only 15 points.
"We had a bad offensive efficiency," lamented Wang Han, head coach of Jilin.
Five players reached double figures for Guangdong, as Marshon Brooks had 29 points, four rebounds and eight assists, Yi Jianlian added a double-double with 20 points and 10 rebounds, and Zhao Rui, who won the All-star MVP last weekend, scored 14 points.
Dominique Jones scored a game-high 35 points, eight rebounds and nine assists for Jilin.
In Guangzhou, Marcus Georges-Hunt missed key free-throws as the Guangzhou Loong Lions lost to the Shandong Heroes 95-98.
Elsewhere, Tianjin Pioneers beat Shanghai Sharks 122-102, Sichuan Blue Whale defeated Jiangsu Dragons 105-100, Xinjiang Flying Tigers routed Fujian Sturgeons 132-118, Shanxi Loongs beat Zhejiang Lions 119-109, and Liaoning Flying Leopards edged Bayi Rockets 110-102.
