HANGZHOU, Jan. 16 (Xinhua) -- After passing quarantine inspection, a total of 150 leopard geckos were exported as pets to Kuwait from east China's Zhejiang Province.

Leopard gecko, a species of reptile of the suborder sauria, is non-toxic and native to India, Pakistan and neighboring areas.

The species is particularly popular with reptile lovers for its attractive appearance, meek disposition and changeable skin colors.

The exported leopard geckos are captive-bred by a firm in the city of Jiaxing, and are not of a species covered by the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora.
