ANKARA, Jan. 18 (Xinhua) -- Turkey on Saturday condemned a terror attack in Somalia's capital Mogadishu that wounded six Turkish nationals.

"The attack in Somalia will not deter our fight against terrorism," said Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said on his Twitter account.

"We curse the terrorist attack in Afgoye region of Somalia, which was carried out with a bomb-laden vehicle and injured many people, including six Turkish citizens," said the Turkish foreign ministry in a written statement.

Turkey will resolutely continue its support in maintaining peace and stability in Somalia, it added.

The condition of the injured Turkish citizens is closely monitored by Turkey's Mogadishu Embassy, according to the ministry.

At least four people were killed and 18 others injured when a suicide bomber targeted Turkish contract workers and Somali security forces in Mogadishu on Saturday, according to the Somali government.

In December, a suicide truck bombing by the terrorist group al-Shabaab in Somalia killed some 80, including two Turkish citizens, and wounded more than 150 others.
