KIEV, Jan. 30 (Xinhua) -- Kiev is ready to invite Iranian, French and Canadian experts to decrypt the black boxes of the Ukrainian passenger plane shot down near Tehran, and insists that the process takes place in Ukraine, a senior official told Interfax-Ukraine on Thursday.

"It's not that we do not get answers on the black boxes, but that these answers change several times a day. Different Iranian officials provide different information, so we don't have an overall understanding," Prosecutor General of Ukraine Ruslan Riaboshapka said.

"Our position has been and will continue to be that the decryption of the black boxes should take place in Ukraine," Riaboshapka said, adding that France and Canada are ready to send their experts to help.

"Since the tragedy happened in Iran, Tehran must ensure an effective investigation and trial. We must also conduct our investigation," he said.

On the morning of Jan. 8, the Ukrainian Boeing-737 flying from Tehran to Kiev crashed shortly after taking off, killing all 167 passengers and 9 crew members on board.

On Jan. 11, Iran admitted that it had "unintentionally" shot down the jetliner.
