ISLAMABAD, Feb. 11 (Xinhua) -- Three laborers were killed and 12 others injured when the roof of a factory collapsed following the explosion of its boiler in Faisalabad city of Pakistan’s east Punjab province, local media reported.

The laborers were busy in their routine work in a textile mill when the boiler exploded due to high gas pressure, according to the reports.

The injured people were shifted to a nearby hospital, while further probe to determine the factors involved in the negligence in ensuring the safety measures in the mill is underway.

Part of the mill immediately collapsed following the explosion and it took rescue teams several hours to recover the injured people from the debris, the reports said.
