KUWAIT CITY, Feb. 19 (Xinhua) -- Kuwait will hold the sixth International Fire and Safety Conference and Expo 2020 in early March to exchange experience in crisis management, an official of the Kuwait Fire Service Directorate (KFSD) announced Wednesday.
Mohammed Al-Shatti, deputy chairman for the development of human resources at KFSD, said that the event will be held from March 3 to 5 under the title "Crisis Management and Disaster Response."
The conference aims to benefit from crisis management systems used by countries that face disasters and gain procedures and methods to reduce disasters risks, he said.
The event will be held at the Kuwait International Fairground in Hawalli Governorate with participation of Kuwait's fire, emergency and disaster departments, and international organizations specialized in crisis management.
KFSD seeks through this event to gain experience from those countries of the world that have experienced and dealt with various disasters in different ways, Al-Shatti noted.
