BEIJING, Feb. 23 (Xinhua) -- Sales of China's 21 leading loader makers reached 5,519 in January, down 23.8 percent year on year, data from the China Construction Machinery Association showed.
More than 4,000 loaders, or about 73 percent, were sold in the domestic market, falling 28.1 percent year on year. Exports of the equipment slid 9 percent to 1,497 last month.
January and February are traditionally a slack period for the mining and infrastructure sectors, as businesses usually slow down around the Spring Festival that falls in either late January or early February.
In 2019, China's loader sales totaled 123,615, rising 4.04 percent year on year.
