AMMAN, Feb. 24 (Xinhua) -- Jordan announced on Monday that Qatar will offer 10,000 more jobs for Jordanians in the Gulf state's market.

The Qatari move to employ 10,000 Jordanians in its capital Doha is an addition to the previous 10,000 job opportunities in 2018, the Jordanian Ministry of Labor said in a statement obtained by Xinhua.

The move will help provide the much-needed jobs for the young Jordanians as the unemployment rate among the Jordanians has exceeded 19 percent, said Hosam Ayesh, a Jordanian economist.

The announcement was made at the conclusion of a visit by Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani to Jordan, where he met with King Abdullah II of Jordan over bilateral ties and regional developments.

During the visit of the Qatari emir, the two countries agreed on establishing an Amman-based Qatari office to ease procedures, implement bilateral agreements and issue visas, according to the ministry statement.
