RIYADH, Feb. 25 (Xinhua) -- Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud on Tuesday issued royal orders to reshuffle the cabinet.
Khalid Al-Falih, former energy minister, was appointed as minister of investment, after the General Investment Authority was transformed into a ministry.
The Ministry of Civil Service merges with the Ministry of Labor and Social Development, and its name is changed to Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development.
The General Sports Authority is transformed into a ministry and renamed as the Ministry of Sports.
The Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage is transformed into a ministry and renamed as the Ministry of Tourism.
The orders also announced several new government appointments.
